What are Some Great Ways to Stay Productive When Working from Home During the Coronavirus Outbreak?

Tips for Working from Home Productivity During COVID-19

Are you working from home while this COVID-19 outbreak is going on? Working from home can be fun because you can wear pajamas all day! However, you can’t treat it like a vacation – you actually need to work and complete projects! If you aren’t used to working from home, it can be hard to get into the swing of it, but we have some tips to help you out.

Find a Dedicated Work Space

Many people have what they call a “home office” but it basically is just a storage room with a desk. If this sounds like your home, it’s finally time to put this space to use! All you need to do is set up your work computer! If you don’t have a home office, the kitchen table will work just fine – though we do recommend that it’s clean and free of clutter.

Get Ready in the Morning

While we love working in our pajamas, we have found that we feel more productive when we have at least showered and brushed our teeth in the morning. Other people feel more productive when they are fully dressed in more business-friendly attire or have makeup on. You do you!

Get Up and Move Around Once in a While

Sitting down – especially at the kitchen table with a stiff dining chair – can be incredibly hard on your body. Frequently get up and move around – do some stretches, go for a walk (while practicing social distancing, of course), and do a couple rounds of going up and down the stairs.

Treat Yourself to a Break!

When lunchtime rolls around, treat yourself to something delicious yet healthy (like a lean chicken sandwich with avocado) and some carrot sticks or dry-roasted peas. And allow yourself to have a cookie. While you are enjoying lunch, allow yourself to enjoy TV for half an hour.
