Kathryn Hahn Stars in New Chrysler Pacifica Ad Series

716 × 401

The Chrysler Pacifica is launching a new ad campaign featuring the always hilarious Kathryn Hahn.

The new ads have the actress, and mother of two, promote the Chrysler Pacifica in what can only be described as absurd hijinks. The five-part video series shows Hahn having fun without sacrifice as she picks up her kids from school, has a girl’s night out, or is simply unloading her groceries (in a manner of speaking).

The Pacifica she is promoting in the ad series is the new S Appearance Package. This package is available on the 2018 Pacifica Touring Plus, Touring L, Touring L Plus, and Limited models. The package features black accents both inside and out and gives the Pacifica a much more athletic look.

“This campaign spoke to me as both a mom who spends a lot of time with my kids while driving and as someone who still likes to turn up the volume after I’ve dropped them off at school,” said Kathryn Hahn in a statement.

Learn More About the Jeep Active Drive II 4×4 System for Winter Driving

959 × 535

The recent and sudden snow storm that hit New York shows that it is time to start taking the winter weather seriously.  To help people prepare for the hazardous driving that comes from the season, FCA has released a guide to understanding the difference between all-wheel drive (AWD) and four-wheel drive (4WD).

The basic way they describe the difference between AWD and 4WD is that AWD systems are always active and the torque is automatically shared between the axles when a low-traction condition is detected.  4WD is a part-time system is turned on by the driver via controls in the driver seat.

Numerous vehicles in the Jeep and Dodge line-up have auto-engaging systems.  Examples are the Charger, Challenger and the Jeep Renegade, Compass, Grand Cherokee, and more.

To better understand how the Jeep Active Drive 4×4 system works, Jeep put together a video demonstrating it.

Learn How the Mopar Electronic Vehicle Tracking System Can Protect Your Car

800 × 301

In a new blog post, FCA360 highlighted one of their most useful features in combating car thieves: the Mopar Electronic Vehicle Tracking System (EVTS).

In 2014, there were 689,527 vehicles stolen according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.  That roughly comes out to a car stolen every 46 seconds.  Of that number that were stolen, about 45 percent of the cars were never found.

To help protect owners against car thieves, Mopar has the Mopar Electronic Vehicle Tracking System.  This is a state-of-the-art GPS-enabled stolen vehicle recover system.  It comes available in three packages.  The Base plan includes the GPS vehicle locator, a real-time stolen vehicle tracking, and $1,000 theft protection warranty.

The next level, the Silver package includes all the Base package as well as the ability to set a “security fence.”  What this does is set up a GPS perimeter where if the limits that the owner sets is exceeded then the owner will get a text message alert from their Mopar EVTS.  Also included in this package is arrival and departure notifications, a map of the vehicle’s previous locations, 24-hour emergency service dispatch and online tracking.

Gold’s package includes the previously mentioned features in the Silver and Base packages as well as unlimited online tracking and a full concierge service.  Sadly, this service will not rush a coffee out to you at the press of a button, but they will give directions, make reservations, and provide other assistance.

If you’re a car owner who wants to be able to protect their vehicle, you may want to look into investing into the Mopar Electronic Vehicle Tracking System to give you peace of mind.

Reasons Your Check Engine Light May Be On

600 × 217

The check engine light; a light that many people will sometimes drive around with it on without checking into it because of the assumption that the light is on by mistake.  Maybe a loose wire or something.  It could also mean that something is wrong with the engine.  Shocker, I know.  The problem is in that the light doesn’t do a good job narrowing down what could be the issue.  Is it minor and easily fixed, or is the engine is serious trouble and needs to be service immediately?  Here is some of the top reasons why that check engine light may have come on in your vehicle.

  • Loose Fuel Cap:

It is weird to think that something like a loose fuel cap can cause the light to turn on, but there is a reason.  When the cap is loose, or broken, it causes fuel vapors to leak out of the car.  If your vehicle doesn’t seem to be having any issues when the light goes on, check here first.  If the cap is broken, replace it.

  • Spark Plugs:

If this is causing the problem you’ll notice a slight jolt when you accelerate.  This usually means that the plugs are failing.  If this occurs, it is recommended to get your car into service as soon as possible so the plugs can be replaced.

  • Catalytic Converter:

This one doesn’t happen often if the car is properly maintained, but when it does, it can really impact your vehicle.  Go too long without replacing this and your vehicle is going to eventually stop running.  It also has a major impact on your gas mileage.  This makes it essential that it gets replaced quickly.

There is plenty of reasons the light may have come on that we didn’t list.  Should this happen, don’t delay on getting your vehicle checked out.  The longer you wait, the more damage you could be causing to your car.  If you need to schedule a service appointment, click here to schedule it online.  Otherwise, contact us at (888) 241-1593.  Be sure to like Bayside Chrysler Jeep Dodge on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for more auto news and advice.
