2021 Jeep Wrangler off-road capabilities

Are you interested in a real off-road machine? Have you been contemplating the 2021 Jeep Wrangler? Then you will be pleasantly surprised. See what we mean as we explore the 2021 Jeep Wrangler off-road capabilities. If you are searching for a Wrangler in the Bayside, NY area, then check out our new Wrangler inventory at Bayside Chrysler Jeep Dodge by clicking the link below.

Are all Wrangler models four-wheel drive?

If you are familiar at all with Jeep, then you may have noticed that all the models offer four-wheel drive across their lineups. It’s sort of a point of pride for the brand and it speaks to the long and storied history of the Jeep name, but what about the Wrangler.

All models of the Wrangler for 2021 (and all other model years) come with four-wheel drive standard. There is not two-wheel drive option. Depending on what trim you select, you get either a Command-Trac part-time 4WD system or a Selec-Trac full-time 4WD system. On select models, you can also get a Rock-Trac 4WD system.

Approach and departure angles of the 2021 Wrangler

The 2021 Wrangler gives you some insane ground clearance right out of the gate. You have 10.8-inches of ground clearance to play with. Not only does this provide a water fording depth of up to 30 inches, but this gives you some great angles for off-roading.

When it comes to the approach angels you get up to 44 degrees with 2-door models and 43.9 degrees with 4-door models. Your breakover angle is up to 27.8 degrees on 2-door models and 22.6 degrees on 4-door models. Lastly, you get a departure angle of up to 37 degrees.

Additional off-road features of the 2021 Wrangler

In addition to all this, the 2021 Wrangler includes things like 2 front and 1 rear tow hook, engine oil cooler, and skid plates on the fuel tank, transmission, and transfer case. Standard you get all-season tires, but you can also opt for available all-terrain tires. Select models also have more advanced off-road tires available.
