Fiat-Chrysler has been trying to reinvigorate the sedan market for sometime now and they've hit some strides with the 200, but it was the Dart that first exploded onto the scene. A rebirth of a classic, the 2016 Dodge Dart continues the sedan-craze that FCA has placed on the market.
Changes for 2016:
The Dart remains very similar to the 2015 model year. It is a new sedan after-all and it will be sometime before Dodge goes about redoing much on it. Some visual flair has been redone on it and additional packages, the Rallye and Blacktop.
When the Dart first came onto the scene, it didn't look like anything Dodge had offered up to now. It had a sleek design much like a European compact car but came with all the trappings one would expect from Dodge. It still has the crosshair grille and available racetrack LED taillamps inspired by the Charger.
The interior design of the 2016 DodgeDart is built around accessibility and refinement. The Dart is filled with new-age technology, such as the award-winning Uconnect system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen. It features soft-touch materials for added comfort for the driver and those riding along.
For performance, the 2016 Dodge Dart features 3 engines to choose from. The first is the 2.0-liter Tigershark with 160 horsepower and six-speed manual or automatic transmission. Next is the 1.4-liter Multiair Turbo with 160 horsepower. Lastly is the 2.4-liter Tigershark with 184 horsepower.
The 2016 Dodge Dart is the future of the company. It shows a clear goal at redefining what Dodge will be producing in the years to come. With the company celebrating 100 years, it shows a commitment to make certain that it'll be celebrating again in 100 years.
